In his weekly column - Ind. Cariboo-North MLA Bob Simpson says that every member of the Special Committee to appoint an Auditor-General should have to say how they voted on the re-appointment of John Doyle as Auditor-General of British Columbia. Read more here
Meanwhile - Jordan Bateman with the Canadian Taxpayers' Federation argues BC has the wrong system to re-appoint the Auditor-General and in fact, we should use Ottawa's model - one, 10 yr term which is non-renewable. Read his posting here
For myself - I agree with Bob and disagree with Mr. Bateman, John Doyle deserves re-apppointment with his hard work and dedication and the BC Liberals were wrong to be petty by blocking Mr. Doyle's re-appointment
