Summer Hours at Cariboo RD Transfer Stations

Just a reminder that since this past Friday, April 1st - the following Cariboo Regional District Transfer Stations are now on Summer Hours:

- Lac La Hache
- Watch Lake
- Interlakes
- Lone Butte
- Frost Creek
- 150 Mile House
- Wildwood

To check the hours of operation for your local facility, visit the Cariboo Regional District website at www.cariboord.bc.ca/ser…/solid-waste-management/swm-overview.

Spring has sprung and it’s a great time to restart your composter if you’ve let it go over the winter.

Remember: all organic waste (food, wood, leaves, grass, paper products, cardboard, etc.) creates methane gas if it decomposes in a landfill. Methane gas is a greenhouse gas which is 21 times stronger than carbon dioxide when related to climate change – all the more reason to segregate your wood waste, compost your food and yard waste and recycle all your paper products.
