This afternoon - Boitanio Park was filled with community members after a number of concerning events in Williams Lake
Many thanks to the organizers for organizing a wonderful community event to bring First Nations/Non First Nations people together
People speaking to the crowd included John Paul Albinati, Williams Lake Mayor Walt Cobb, Williams Lake Indian Band Chief Ann Louie, Cariboo-Chilcotin MLA Donna Barnett, Alexis Creek First Nations Chief (and CRD Area 'K' Alternate Director) Ervin Charleyboy, Xeni Gwet'in Chief (and CRD Area 'J' Director) Roger William, Es'ket Band Councillor Robert Johnson and Cariboo-Prince George Member of Parliament Todd Doherty
I think it is safe to say that the community was appreciative of those who volunteered their time to get this event put on and hopefully there is a path forward together in order to address the systemic issues that need addressing in order to have a healthy and safe community...
