General Voting Day - District of Wells 2018 By-Election & South Cariboo Recreation Expansion

Today - the electors in the District of Wells will be voting for 1 person (of 3 nominated) to serve as the Mayor of Wells and 1 person (of 4 nominated) to serve as a Councillor, until the October 20th Local General Election.  General Voting take places from 8am - 8pm today at the Banquet Room - District of Wells Community Hall

Full details on what you need to know in order to vote today can be viewed here.  As of this writing, I'm not sure when the preliminary results of the District of Wells by-election will be made available after general voting closes at 8pm tonight!

Meanwhile - electors in portions of Cariboo Regional District (CRD) Electoral Areas 'G', 'H' and 'L' and the District of 100 Mile House are voting today from 8am - 8pm to authorize borrowing up to $10 million dollars to permit expansion of the South Cariboo Recreation Centre to include an indoor field,  gymnasium and walking track and to authorize an corresponding increase in the tax requisition limit for the South Cariboo Recreation Service.  Full details on where you can vote, etc can be viewed here

Results of the CRD South Cariboo Recreation Expansion Referendum will be posted on the CRD Facebook page and website as soon as they are available after 8pm this evening...
