Yesterday - the electors of the District of Wells went to the polls to elect a new Mayor and a new Councillor to finish out the 2014-18 term. After counting advanced and general voting day ballots the Chief Election Officer of the District of Wells (A. Young) advises:
Mayor:
I do hereby declare elected John (Jay) Vermette as Mayor-Elect who received the highest number of valid votes for the office of Mayor
Councillor:
I do hereby declare elected Dianne Andreesen as Councillor-Elect who received the highest number of valid votes for the office of Councillor
Congrats to all who ran for either Wells Mayor or Councillor and were not successful... The above noted results are preliminary until determined final by the District of Wells' Chief Election Officer which should take place by the end of day, Tuesday, June 12th
