NCLGA Letter & Caribou Recovery Program and Federal Species at Risk Program

Earlier today -- the NCLGA or North Central Local Government Association, on behalf of its' members, dispatched a letter to British Columbia Premier John Horgan and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in respect of the proposed Caribou Recovery Program/proposed Draft Section 11 Agreement and Draft Partnership Agreement

In the NCLGA Letter - it calls on Premier Horgan and Prime Minister Trudeau for 3 things:

a) Bring local governments to the table in a meaningful way;
b) Collaboratively review, amend and release the timelines; and
c) Ensure that the process and scope of social and economic impact assessments are collaboratively developed.


The Caribou Recovery Program meetings in the Cariboo-Chilcotin are as follows:

a) Williams Lake tonight from 5:30pm - 9:30pm at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex (525 Proctor Street)

b) Quesnel on Thursday, April 11th from 5:30pm - 9:30pm at the Quesnel Seniors' Centre (461 Carson Avenue)
