Earlier today -- the Northern Development Initiative Trust or NDIT announced the creation of 3 funding program in relation to Housing as follows:
a) Housing Needs Assessment Program
b) Community Planning for Housing Program
c) Northern Housing Incentive Program
Speaking on behalf of the NDIT Board of Directors' -- Acting Chair Tom Hoffman said:
Communities throughout Northern B.C. have identified a real need for new housing developments and through these programs, local governments can seize the opportunity to grow their population and their economy. The Board is very pleased to support this type of initiative which supports development and sustainability.
