Later today from 1 to 3:30pm -- the 158 Electoral Area Directors' from BC's 27 Regional Districts' will be attending a 2 day Annual Forum, being held virtually, for updates on matters that are of concern to Electoral Areas/Regional Districts'
While not all Electoral Area Directors' attend -- usually about 60% or more of the 158 EA Directors' of British Columbia are in attendance at these annual Forum sessions and I personally look forward to network with many of them. As far as the Cariboo Regional District's 12 Electoral Area Directors' go -- I and the vast majority will be in attendance at the 2 Day Virtual Forum...
On the Agenda - Day 1:
* Welcome from UBCM President (and District of Vanderhoof Councillor) Brian Frenkel. President Frenkel is a past President of the North Central Local Government Association' (NCLGA)
* Welcome from new BC Municipal Affairs Minister Josie Osborne (who is a former Alberni-Clayquot Regional District Board Chair/Vice-Chair)
* Education Session #1 -- Rural Broadband: Interactive Community Discussion
* Education Session #2 -- BC Transit in Rural Areas
* Closing Remarks/Adjourn

Looking forward to today's Forum commencing shortly after 1pm today... Looking forward to hearing, both from Minister Osborne and President Frenkel - both of whom I know get Electoral Area Directors' issues/concerns and understands fully how Regional District/Electoral Area governance works and in any event, looking forward to hearing both of their updates to the EA Directors' today....
