Cariboo-Chilcotin Local Government Meetings - Week of April 17-21, 2023

During the week of April 17-21, 2023 -- the following Local Governments' or Boards' of Education of the Cariboo-Chilcotin are meeting, as follows:

Wells - Regular Council Meeting on April 20th, 2023 at 7pm in Wells Council Chambers (4243 Sanders Avenue) or via Zoom.  When available, the Agenda can be viewed here

School District #28 (Quesnel) - Regular Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, April 19th at 7pm in the SD28 Boardroom (401 North Star Rd, Quesnel).  When available, the Agenda can be viewed here

Williams Lake - Meetings as noted below in WL Council Chambers (450 Mart St) on Tuesday, April 18th, 2023 and will be livestreamed via YouTube (click here

1) Public Hearing - 6pm.  Purpose of Public Hearing is to consider Zoning Bylaw amendments regarding Accessory Dwelling Units.  Full Public Hearing Agenda can be viewed here

2) Regular Council Meeting - upon termination of the Public Hearing.  On the Agenda:

* Consider 3rd Reading of Zoning Amendment Bylaw #2385, 2023 (Accessory Dwelling Units) 

* Consider endorsement of recommendations from April 11th Committee of the Whole meeting.  Public input will be permitted on the DRAFT 2023 Budget/5 Year Financial Plan

2023-2027 Financial Plan Bylaw No. 2388, 2023 and 2023 Municipal Tax Rate Bylaw No. 2389, 2023 -- consideration of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Readings

Growing Community Reserve Fund Bylaw and Use -- consideration of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Readings and dedicate 100% use of funds to City's portion of Water Treatment Plant

Waste & Recyclables Collection - Award of Contract
Accessibility Advisory Committee - Terms of Reference Amendment for New Accessible BC Act Requirements

Cariboo Regional District:

1) South Cariboo Rural Directors' Caucus - Meeting on Monday, April 17th at 11am at the South Cariboo Recreation Centre.  After selecting a Chair for 2023 and adopting previous meeting minutes, the Caucus will convene a Closed Session as per Section 90(1k - negotiations) of the Community Charter.  The Agenda can be viewed here

2) Emergency Preparedness Committee - Meeting on Wednesday, April 19th at 10am in the Regional District Boardroom in Williams Lake.  On the Agenda:

* 2023 UBCM CEPF Evacuation Route Planning Application
Emergency Program Act Modernization Update

3) Connectivity Committee - Meeting on Wednesday, April 19th at 1pm in the Regional District Boardroom in Williams Lake.  On the Agenda:

* Responses to Questions discussed at the previous Committee meeting
* Re-visiting the Connectivity Strategy
