Grass Fire at Sugarcane (Williams Lake Indian Band)
After Wednesday evening's CRD Wildfire Public Meeting, attendees noticed a fire south of Williams Lake. See this video for actual footage of 150 Mile Volunteer Fire Department fighting the grassfire which took place in a field, 30-40 feet from homes. The fire was successfully put out. See more details on this story at Welcome to Williams Lake here

EVERY YEAR the people at sugarcane are told not to burn and they do, and it goes out of control, costing every tax payer money. This is getting tiresome, wheres the accountability or are people to politically scared to deal with it. Im sure if its done in other areas theres a fine or something of consequence.
