Video Blogs - Review of North/Central Cariboo Politics

In an attempt at using all forms of social media - I've made two video blogs on the past week in local government - both in the North Cariboo (Quesnel) and Central Cariboo (Williams Lake)
Enjoy!!

Footnote - forget to mention - during the 2011 City of WL Budget Discussion - Councillor Walters made mention that Councillor Rathor should quit being so negative.  Positive growth on the way, both in terms of upcoming developments and people choosing to reside in Williams Lake, rather than leaving

Question - How does she base these statements in fact?  And where is the documentation to prove these statements?

Inquring minds desire to know...

Also - where does it say just because the start of budget discussions start at a 6% property tax hike, does it mean one should be satisfied with a 3% property tax hike.  How about the realization that taxpayers' have no more money to give City Hall and we should really try to fund the bare basics and fund "optional" items, if the money is available.  That is not "pie in the sky" or "irresponsible".  That's life and local government should run its' budget, no different than private households.   Fund the basics first then the "frills", if the money is available
