After that - I was asked by one reader how come the Cariboo Regional District does not have to include their Staff salary and expense information (above $75,000), like municipal councils' do in their SOFI Reports. I should note that I have a letter to the CRD Board asking that it be corrected so that the CRD's SOFI or Statement of Financial Information Reports are equal, in terms of information provided, like the Cities of Quesnel and Williams Lake and the Districts of 100 Mile House & Wells
Before I go on to post the CRD Staff Salary Information for 2009 vs 2010 - I wish to publicly thank CRD Chief Financial Officer Scott Reid and CRD Corporate Officer Alice Johnston for getting this information to me as quickly as possible. Also, the CRD Chief Financial Officer wants me to point out to my readers that Salary and Taxable Benefits includes overtime hours worked in the Emergency Operations Center or EOC. EOC Amounts are then re-imbursed by Emergency Management BC (old PEP) to the Cariboo Regional District
CRD Staff Salaries in 2010 (above $75,000)
Janis Bell - Chief Administrative Officer or CAO
Salary and Taxable Benefits - $172,129.91 (In 2009, it was $161,605.58)
Expenses - $9,170.71 (In 2009, it was $6,026.33
Total Salary of $181,300.62 (In 2009, it was $167,631.91
Rick Hodgson - Deputy CAO
Salary/Taxable Benefits - $113,396.42 (in 2009, it was $114,331.41)
Expenses - $2,594.74 (In 2009, it was $2,291.59
Total Salary - $115,991.16 (In 2009, it was $116,623.00
Mitch Minchau - Manager of Environmental Services:
Salary/Taxable Benefits - $101,080.20 (In 2009, this was $108,464.71)
Expenses - $18.00 (In 2009, this was $250.00)
Total Salary - $101,098.20 (In 2009, it was $108,714.71)
Lynn Paterson - Chief Financial Officer:
Salary/Taxable Benefits - $94,449.62 (In 2009, this was $108,330.57)
Expenses - $912.50 (In 2009, it was $3,399.89)
Total Salary - $95,362.12 (In 2009, it was $111,730.46
The remaining total salary levels for the Managers of Communications, Community Services, Protective Services, Information Technology and Library Services and the Regional Utility Operator range from $78,940.36 to $95,370.08
Total CRD Staff Salaries under $75,000 (including expenses) paid out in 2010 was $3,107,946.68
In 2009, for the above category - the amount paid was $3,101,240.25
