Kash Heed fights to retain his seat of Vancouver-Fraserview (Updated)

CBC-BC reports that Kash Heed's lawyer is in a Kelowna court today to explain to a BC Supreme Court judge why Kash Heed should not lose his seat of Vancouver-Fraserview over 2009 campaign overspending of $4,000.  See the story here

Note to readers - Elections Canada just gave a slap on the wrists to Federal Conservative Gov't House Leader Peter Van Loan for overspending of $4,189.53 in the 2008 Federal General Election. See the Vancouver Sun story here

UPDATE at 2:54pm - CBC-BC now reports that, because Kash Heed did not "act in bad faith" according to Elections BC, Mr. Heed should not lose his seat of Vancouver-Fraserview but should be fined twice the amount his campaign overspent in 2009 which amounts to a fine around $10,000.  See the story here
