Flooding Situation Update for Quesnel

From City of Quesnel website:

The BC River Forecast Centre has downgraded the flood warning for the Upper Fraser River, including Quesnel to a high streamflow advisory. The high water is expected to be temporary, the result of extensive rainfall to the north. The Fraser River water levels have fallen for two days now.

The North Fraser Drive loop in West Quesnel is open.

The City continues to monitor water levels on a regular basis to ensure public safety while also monitoring infrastructure such as roads, trails, and water and sewer lines.

■ Please keep clear of riverbanks, as they can be very slippery during high water events.
■ The fast-moving and cold water also presents a risk.
■ Keep close watch over children and pets.
