2011 Census Numbers Out for Cariboo-Chilcotin

Stats Canada has just released the 2011 Census for our area (Cariboo-Chilcotin) as follows:

District of Wells:

Population in 2006 - 236
Population in 2011 - 245

Population Growth - 3.8%

City of Quesnel:

Population in 2006 - 9,326
Population in 2011 - 10,007

Population Growth - 7.3%

Editor's Note - now that Quesnel's population in 2011 is over 10,000 - it should help give them an advantage in dicussions with Victoria that the City of Quesnel Director on the CRD Board deserves 5 weighted votes like the City of Williams Lake Director enjoys

City of Williams Lake:

Population in 2006 - 10,744
Population in 2011 - 10,832

Population Growth - 0.8%


District of 100 Mile House:

Population in 2006 - 1,885
Population in 2011 - 1,886

Population Growth - 0.1%

Cariboo Regional District:

Population in 2006 - 62,190
Population in 2011 - 62,392

Population Growth - 0.8%
