With West Fraser's 1-million dollar contribution to the proposed North Cariboo Multi-Centre in Quesnel, there is still one noticeable missing piece to the puzzle.
The Northern Development Initiative Trust has chipped in with 2 million dollars and the Provincial Government has committed 4-million dollars to the project but the Federal Government has so far come up with a big donut.
Quesnel Mayor Mary Sjostrom hopes to change that.
She's off to Ottawa for a week on Sunday in her role as President of the Union of B-C Municipalities and while the mayor doesn't have any firm meetings yet she hopes to meet with some cabinet ministers.
Mayor Sjostrom was asked if she was frustrated that Ottawa hasn't stepped up.
She says "yes because they were told to get the province to the table and we'll step up."
Sjostrom says she's not sure if they can get a Multi-Centre without the Federal Government's help but she says she won't give up and there is no plan-b for her until they run out of time on the referendum.

What? Translation please...this is either a misquote, or 3rd grade grammar.
Where is the CRD Board Chair? All the while we're told this is the number one priority for the CRD. Is he doing anything?
