Minister Bill Bennett in Quesnel
Courtesy of the City of Quesnel website:
Bill Bennett, B.C.'s Minister of Community, Sport, and Cultural Development was in Quesnel November 13 visiting a number of sites. Here, the City's Director of Public Works, Ken Coombs, speaks to the Minister and Mayor Mary Sjostrom about the City's newest water well. The $1.1 million project received a $375,000 grant from the Towns for Tomorrow grant program in 2009. The well came online in August and can pump more than 1,100 gallons a minute, a great improvement over the well it replaced that pumped about 525 gallons per minute.
