Quesnel Annual Hydrant and Water Main Flushing Program

From the City of Quesnel website:

The City of Quesnel Utilities Department is currently running its annual fire hydrant and water main flushing program from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday. The program is expected to be complete by the end of September.

Tentative Schedule:

All areas of South Quesnel
Johnston and Carson Sub
2 and 3 Mile Flat
West Quesnel west of Baker Creek
Uplands
West Quesnel east of Baker Creek
Downtown and North Quesnel

Hydrant and water main flushing causes turbidity in the City's water system. Residents should expect, and be prepared for, discoloured water. If you experience this, leave a cold water tap running until the water returns to normal.
