Local Gov't Mtgs - Wk of Oct 7-11

There a number of local gov't or local gov't related meetings this upcoming week:

Wells - next meeting is October 15th

Quesnel - Committee of the Whole/Special Meeting on Monday, Oct 7th at 7pm in Quesnel Council Chambers (2nd Floor - 410 Kinchant St).  

On the Agenda:

a) 3 Delegations - Quesnel Community Foundation, Leigh Cassidy re: Quesnel Benches and 2013 Quesnel SkyFest

b) Master Fee Bylaw Review
c) City of Quesnel Policies Review
d) Secondary Suites Public Consultation
e)  Adopt Bylaw #1725 - 2013-17 5 Year Financial Plan Amendment

There is also a public meeting on Wednesday Oct 9th at the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 94) at 262 Kinchant Street in regards to the upcoming Nov 9th referendum to extend the $15 million borrowing bylaw for 2 additional years until 2015 of the Cariboo RD for the North Cariboo Multicentre

School District #28 (Quesnel) - Next meeting on October 16th

School District #27 (Cariboo-Chilcotin) - Next meeting on October 22nd

Williams Lake - Regular Council meeting on Tuesday, Oct 8th at 6pm in WL Council Chambers (450 Mart St)

On the Agenda:

a) 2 Delegations -- Present Certificate of Achievement to John Halfnights, Water/Sewer Foreman and Chief Fred Robbins (Alkali Lk Band) in regards to Commemoration Project

b) 2013 Third Quarter - Statement of Revenue/Expenditures -- pls note that Staff report that legal expenses has now exceeded the $140,000 budget.  Year to Date legal expenses are $160,033.  Meanwhile, General, Water, Sewer, Transit and Airports Funds all show that expenses are below revenue as at Sept 30th.  Finally - in regards to Council Travel Budgets as of Sept 30th show that Councillor Laurie Walters is closest to expending her entire $5,560 budget, she has spent $5,046 to date while her colleague Councillor Danica Hughes has spent none of her $5,560 travel budget.  

c) ACAP Resolution of Council (Airport Capital)
d) 7 pieces of Correspondence including authorization for the Royal Canadian Legion Annual Poppy Sale

e) CAO and Mayor Reports

100 Mile House - Regular COW/Council meetings on Tuesday, Oct 8th starting at 6:30pm in 100 Mile Council Chambers (385 Birch Ave).  When available, the Agenda can be viewed here

Cariboo Regional District:

Oct 5th - Area D Town Hall meeting which starts at 1pm - McLeese Lake Community Hall (6178 Forglen Rd).  As the Area D Alternate Director, I implore all residents of Cariboo RD Area D to attend this meeting and let your Area Director Deb Bischoff know your ideas for the 2014 Cariboo RD Budget and discuss Area D issues with her

Oct 8th - Area H Town Hall meeting with Area Director Margo Wagner.  7pm at the Forest Grove Town Hall

Oct 10th - Williams Lake/Cariboo RD Joint Town Hall meeting.  7pm in WL Council Chambers (450 Mart St).  Come and discuss with Mayor Kerry Cook your thoughts on the 2014 Cariboo RD Budget and Cariboo RD issues

Oct 10th - North Cariboo Multicentre meeting at Bouchie Lake Community Hall (Area B) (1975 Centennial Rd) starting at 7pm
