Participate in City of WL's 2015 Budget Process

Courtesy of the City of Williams Lake:

Council will be meeting each Thursday night for the next several weeks to discuss and set the 2015 budget. All residents are invited and encouraged to come observe the process, and to participate during the public input sessions.

Meetings will be each Thursday at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers.

All residents are also invited to follow changes to the 2015 budget as they happen on the City’s website at www.williamslake.ca/645/OpenGov---The-City-of-Williams-Lake, which contains the
same financial information used by Council.

Council wants to have the most transparent and open municipal financial system in B.C. Participate in the process!

Given the FACT that criminal charges were laid against a number of "former" city managers in 2013(Dugal Smith report)related to the awarding of city contracts and receiving a personal benefit,it is essential that this Council budget funds for a FORENSIC AUDIT in this budget to determine the full extent of damage to city finances.Burying our heads in the sand is NOT going to make it go away!

Time to take off your tinfoil hat. The only "fact" is that this accusation is total rubbish. No charges of any kind were ever laid against any City Manager with regards to City contracts. The only "fact" in this area is that someone falsely accused these Managers to smear them and now that slanderer can't handle the truth being told. If you really think that Council, and/or RCMP could/would suppress anything of the sort then you're on dope. PS. I also hear there was a second shooter on the grassy knoll.....no, really!

Read it, and know that the line you refer to is untrue. That is a FACT. The author himself admitted he used the wrong word in that line. Prove me wrong. I know you can't.
