19 Days to 2018 General Voting Day (Local Gov't/Board of Education Elections)

19 Days (just under 3 weeks) from today - voters of the Cariboo-Chilcotin will elect new Mayors (except the City of Quesnel), Councillors, School District #28 Trustees, School District #27 Trustees for Zones 2,4,5,6,7 and Cariboo Regional District Directors for Electoral Areas A, B, E, F, J, K and L and just 9 days to the 1st Advanced Voting Opportunity for these same elected positions as well as a referendum for a new CRD North Cariboo Airport Financial Contribution Service (CRD Electoral Areas A, B, C and I) (click here for details) and a referendum to borrow up to $8.5 million for a new Public Works building in Quesnel (for details, click here)

A number of candidates (not all) have posted election signs and a fair number of them have an online presence, via Facebook.  There are a number of all candidate forums this upcoming week to hear directly from the candidates including:

Monday, October 1st at 7pm - Bouchie Lake Community Hall - Cariboo RD Area 'B' Director candidates.  Session moderated by Quesnel Mayor Bob Simpson

Wednesday, October 3rd at 6pm - Creekside Seniors' Centre, 100 Mile House.  Candidates for 100 Mile House Mayor/Councillor.  Session put on by the South Cariboo Chamber of Commerce

Thursday, October 4th from 5-9pm, Gibraltar Room - Williams Lake.  All Candidates "Meet/Greet Open House" for those running for Williams Lake Mayor/Councillor.  Session put on by the Williams Lake and District Chamber of Commerce
