Central Cariboo Rural Directors' Caucus Highlights - April 20th, 2021 mtg

Meeting called to order at 10:00am 

The Chair recognized that the meeting was taking place on the Indigenous Territories within the Central Cariboo-Chilcotin (NStQ - Areas D,E,F and TNG - Area J)

Meeting Agenda adopted
Minutes of the Central Cariboo Rural Directors Caucus meeting held Feb 24th, 2021 were received/adopted

Business:

1) Central Cariboo Housing Capacity and Gap Analysis Report

The draft report was presented to Caucus along with a presentation from Jada Basi from CitySpaces

Resolved -- Report received

2) Thrive Poverty Reduction Strategy

The Strategy was presented to Caucus
Discussion ensued thereon

Resolved --  That it be recommended to the Regional Board:

That the Thrive Poverty Reduction Strategy prepared by Anne Burrill for the Social Planning Council of Williams Lake and Area, dated January 2021, be endorsed

1)  Proposed Annual Presentation from the Williams Lake & District Chamber of Commerce (Tourism Information and Visitor Centre)

By Consensus -- That Visitor Information Centre Staff be invited to appear before Caucus this fall to discuss the 2021 Tourism Season within Electoral Areas D,E,F,J,K

2)  Mental Health Support in the Central Cariboo

By Consensus - That representatives from the local Canadian Mental Health Association Branch appear before Caucus to present on the status of Mental Health in CRD Areas D,E,F,J,K
