Central Cariboo Rural Directors' Caucus Highlights - May 26th, 2021

Present: Chair M. LeBourdais and Directors S. Forseth (in part -- 3:16pm to 4:38pm), A. Delainey & G. Kirby

Meeting held via MS Teams and the Chair called the meeting to order at 3:00pm

RESOLVED:

• That members of the public are not permitted to physically attend the May 26, 2021 meeting of the Central Cariboo Rural Directors Caucus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As per Ministerial Order from the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General the Regional District cannot, at this time, ensure the safety of staff, Caucus members, and members of the public in such circumstances.  Despite this, for the purposes of Division 3 of Part 4 of the Community Charter, the meeting is not to be considered closed to the public.

  Openness, transparency, accessibility, and accountability, in respect of this meeting, will be achieved by the open publishing of the minutes.

Meeting Agenda adopted and the Chair recognized that the meeting was taking place on the traditional territory of the Northern Secwépemc (CRD Areas D,E,F) and Tsilhoqot'in National Government (CRD Area J) 

Minutes of the April 20th, 2021 Central Cariboo Rural Directors' Caucus meeting  were received/adopted

Delegations:

1) Janis Breck from the Canadian Mental Health Association, appeared before Caucus via MS Teams, to provide an update on CMHA’s activities in the Central Cariboo

Director Forseth entered the meeting at 3:16pm

2) Silvia Dubray, City of Williams Lake Community Well-Being & Safety Coordinator, appeared before Caucus via MS Teams, to provide an update on the Community Well-Being Safety Plan.

Business:

1) The Caucus resumed discussions of the final DRAFT Report of the Central Cariboo Housing Capacity and Gap Analysis Report, prepared by CitySpaces Consulting, dated April 2021
