Cariboo RD Committee of the Whole Highlights - Nov 18th mtg

Present: Chair M. Wagner/Vice-Chair J. Massier; Directors Sjostrom, Bachmeier, Forseth, Delainey, LeBourdais, Richmond, Glassford, Kirby, Macdonald, Campsall, Simpson and Alternate Director J. Ryll (Williams Lake)

Meeting called to order at 9:30am

The Chair recognized that the meeting was being held on traditional Northern Secwepemc (Shuswap) territory and welcomed Alternate Director J. Ryll (Williams Lake) to today's meeting

Meeting Agenda approved with a late item at the request of the CAO (In-Camera Session - Sec 90(1c) of the Community Charter)

Minutes of the Committee of Whole Board meeting held October 21st, 2021 was received/adopted

Delegation:

1) Murray Tekano, Program Director, Cariboo Road Recovery Projects BC appeared before the Committee to provide an update on the Cariboo Road Recovery Projects program

Following the presentation - the Committee held a Question/Answer session with the delegation responding to questions from Directors'

The Chair, on behalf of the Committee, thanked the delegation for their time/information

Business:

The Committee discussed the following matters:

a) Agricultural Development Advisory Committee Membership List 

b) Bill 26 – Municipal Affairs Statutes Amendment Act (No. 2) 

c) Animal Control Bylaw in Electoral Areas 

d) Public Use of CRD Fire Halls in Electoral Areas A,B,C,D,F,G,H,I and L

Following discussions -- the Committee made 2 recommendations to the Regional Board for its' consideration

At 2:38pm -- the Committee resolved into a Closed Committee Session as per Section 90(1c - labour/employee relations) of the Community Charter

At 3:35pm -- the Committee resumed its' Open Session

The Committee agreed to adjourn at 3:35pm
