The City of Quesnel will host an Affordable Housing Workshop with a goal of bringing interested parties together and developing a plan to move forward on affordable housing issues.
The workshop is scheduled to run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday Nov. 12 in Council Chambers at City Hall.
"Council recognizes we can do more to encourage the identification and development of affordable housing," said Mayor Mary Sjostrom. "That is why we supported the Affordable Housing Needs Assessment, the Secondary Suites Survey and why we are hosting this workshop to continue progress in this area. I encourage people who are interested in these issues to attend."
The workshop will include a review of the results of the City's recently completed housing needs assessment. Participants will begin the process of developing an affordable housing strategy.
If you're interested in attending, RSVP to the City's planning technician Jillian Shaughnessy by e-mail at jshaughnessy@city.quesnel.bc.ca or by phone at 250-992-2111.
