FightHST.com is reporting that a campaign to recall sitting Cariboo-Chilcotin MLA Donna Barnett will start on Monday, January 31st, 2011. Like her colleague, Ida Chong, in Oak Bay - Gordon Head, she will name the BC NDP as the trigger for her recall campaign. The recall campaign against MLA Barnett is slated to conclude on Wednesday, March 30th, 2011
Some questions to ponder include:
1) Will anger over the HST in Cariboo-Chilcotin subside by Jan 31st, 2011 or will it be a major issue for voters' as they ponder whether or not to sign the recall petition?
2) Will other issues play a role - legislated contract for paramedics/paramedic issues, public education, etc?
We'll soon know, but the one thing I'd like to point out is that I don't consider any recall campaign an abuse of the Recall and Initiative Act. If voters' think Donna Barnett or targeted BC Liberal MLA's are doing a good job as MLA, then they'll refuse to sign the recall petition, but I suspect not, especially in the riding of Cariboo-Chilcotin, but a lot will depend on the campaign - how will Donna's supporters come out with ads in favour of her and how aggressive will recall canvassers' be to get the official Elections' BC numbers to formally remove Donna Barnett from office

Ida Chong's recall, had to contend, with Craig James and Campbell's dirty delay tactics. Their threats to the recall signers. Terrorizing an elderly lady in her eighties. The x-mas season. The media, siding with Campbell, dong their very best, by kicking the BC people in the face. We have the fascist dictator, the henchmen, the propaganda media, the police state, er, province. Campbell's face is indeed, another face of evil. The corrupt judicial system, also works for Campbell, and the corrupt RCMP.
Any idiot can see, the HST is killing BC. As we said it would. The second election lie. The HST wasn't on Campbell and Hansen's radar. Campbell, Hansen and Harper, colluded on the HST, long before the election. BC is rock bottom, of all the other Canadian provinces. BC is dead last. BC had the highest number of job losses in Dec, because of the HST. Job losses in Jan, are going to be the worst again, because of the HST. BC people spend billions in the U.S.A. because of the HST. People close to the Alberta border, shop there because of the HST. Many more businesses are closing their doors, because of the HST. We knew, Campbell and Hansen, blatantly lied to the BC people, regarding the HST. Our HST, doesn't even stay in BC, it goes directly to the other snake in the grass, Harper. And, that's the last we have seen, of our stolen HST money. We will not stop fighting, to be rid of this evil, corrupt, lying BC Liberal government. They are only going to replace one criminal, with another, lying, deceitful and cheating to win, @$%!&&^%$. They are far too contaminated by Campbell's stench, to be anything other, than what he is. We are still going to fight, to throw Campbell in prison, where he belongs for, his corrupt sale of the BCR. The first, Campbell election lie. All the new information out is, Campbell is very dirty, right up to the top of his head, in very dirty corruption.
