1 comment:
The corporate engagement officer for the City of Williams Lake Guillermo Angel has put most council members in a conflict of interest by promoting a city-paid luncheon for nurses appreciation week for which Council held a vote. Most Council members are either nurses themselves or spouses of nurses and that is where the conflict lies. While nurses deserve to be recognized for the services they provide, it is up to the CAO (who signed off on the Council Report) and the corporate officer to remind members of Council of their obligations regarding a conflict of interest. Clearly, that did not happen in this case. We pay premium wages for these bureaucrats to catch these gross errors of judgement. Did I mention that Mr. Angel's wife is also a nurse?
