It is ironic that the person who has been the one and only constant with staff turnover at the City of Williams Lake for more than the last ten years is now receiving the "employee of the year" award. The rate of turnover so far in 2020 is 55 people. That's out of 120 or so City employees, well over 40 percent, and that's been the case year after year after year. CEO Muraca, not a good first move. Some advice: it's not about pandering to your favorites, it's about what is best for the taxpayers of Williams Lake. Something for Council to think about in this upcoming election year.

Just to clarify - the next round of local government general elections including for the 7 positions on Williams Lake City Council (Mayor/6 Councillors) will be on October 15th, 2022
