Due to the rise of COVID cases in Quesnel, and in consideration of the health and safety of all community-members, the City of Quesnel’s Let’s Connect Community Tour on Saturday, September 18 has been postponed.
The community gathering will be moved to a future date so the City can reconnect with residents in a way that is safe and responsible during an evolving period of the pandemic.
A special edition of the Q-City News will be mailed out to residents in the coming weeks featuring the initiatives that were set to be highlighted at the event. These include Sprout Kitchen, the Wonderland and Fuel Management Trail Systems, the Alive After Five and many more.
The City will also be launching a new engagement tool in the coming weeks to provide residents with updates on new initiatives, offer an opportunity to give immediate feedback and have their questions answered regarding City projects that matter to them.
“Our residents’ feedback is an important part of City decision-making, planning and project implementation, and we are looking forward to connecting with residents through this new online tool,” says Quesnel Mayor Bob Simpson.
The City encourages residents to stay connected at www.quesnel.ca, and to keep an eye out for the continuation of the Let’s Connect initiatives online in the coming weeks.
