Central Cariboo Joint Committee Highlights - Sept 22nd mtg

Meeting chaired by Councillor J. Ryll

Meeting called to order at 5:30pm

The Chair recognized that the meeting was taking place on traditional Shuswap territory and reminded Committee members to put their mobile device/cell phone into vibrate or silent mode

The Committee was introduced to New Central Cariboo Arts & Culture Society Executive Director Melissa Normandin by CCACS Society President Harry Jennings

The Chair, on behalf of the Committee, congratulated Ms. Normandin on her new appointment

1) Central Cariboo Arts & Culture Society's 'Performances in the Park' Final Report for 2021

2) Performances in the Park Agreement Extension - Central Cariboo Arts & Culture Society

Resolved - That the Committee recommend to the Regional Board/City Council:

That the agenda item summary of Darron Campbell, Manager of Community Services, Cariboo Regional District dated September 9, 2021 regarding an extension of the Performances in the Park services agreement between the Central Cariboo Arts and Culture Society, City of Williams Lake and Cariboo Regional District be received; and further, that the agreement be extended at the current terms and conditions for one year (2022) and the appropriate signatories be authorized to execute the extension agreement.

3) Displaying External Publications and Public Artwork in the CMRC

5) CMRC Vaccine Card Operations Update

Resolved - That the report of Kaitlyn Atkinson, Manager of Recreation and Leisure Services, City of Williams Lake dated September 16, 2021 regarding an update on the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex' COVID vaccine card operational procedures be received for information

6) Highway 20 Direct Road Access to the Esler Sports Complex - Crown Land Tenure

Resolved - That the Committee recommend to the Regional Board:

That the agenda item summary of Darron Campbell, Manager of Community Services, Cariboo Regional District dated September 9, 2021 regarding a Crown land tenure Central Cariboo/City of Williams Lake Joint Committee Agenda - September 22, 2021 offer to enable construction of a direct access road to the Esler Sports Complex from Highway 20 be received; and further, that the appropriate signatories be authorized to execute the tenure agreement
