2nd Reading to Bill 22 approved (updated)

Just a few minutes ago - the BC Legislature approved 2nd Reading of Bill 22 (Education Improvement Act) by a vote of 44 BC Liberal MLA's to 29 BC NDP MLA's.  The NDP's "reasoned amendment" to 2nd Reading of Bill 22 was also defeated by a vote of 29 - 44

Starting tomorrow (Tuesday at 10am) - the Legislature will commence Committee Stage (clause-by-clause consideration) of Bill 22.  If Bill 22 has not received 3rd Reading by 4:45pm, then all remaining stages (Committee/3rd Reading) would be called immediately with Bill 22 law by 5:00pm Thursday and it receiving Royal Assent shortly thereafter

When available later tonight - I'll update this blog post with individual MLA's voting yes/no to 2nd Reading of Bill 22 & on the "reasoned amendment" to 2nd Reading of Bill 22

Update - Votes on "Reasoned Amendment to 2nd Reading" and 2nd Reading on Bill 22:
