Harry Bloy out of BC Cabinet & Politics...

Earlier today - it was announced that Harry Bloy, the former BC Minister of State for Multiculturalism tendered his resignation to BC Premier Christy Clark after inappropriately disclosed an internal email to a 3rd party - in this case Eminata, a provider of post-secondary education at six for-profit schools in B.C,  that was the subject of a Vancouver Province investigation

BC Premier Christy Clark also announced that Mr. Bloy - the MLA for Burnaby-Lougheed - will not seek re-election in 2013

The Opposition BC New Democrats have called on BC Advanced Education Minister Naomi Yamamoto to resign as well - read here

Finally - the BC Conservatives' have weighed in on the matter by stating today:

Editor's Note - contrary to below, Mr Bloy was not fired but offered his resignation from the BC Cabinet (Executive Council of BC) to BC Premier Christy Clark and she accepted his resignation

Today, Minister of State for Multiculturalism Harry Bloy and Christy Clark loyalist was fired for leaking a document to Liberal-connected firm.
“I hope that Mr. Bloy’s removal from cabinet does not distract from the real issue, which is the apparently close relationship between the Eminata Group and Liberal government,” said John Cummins, Leader of British Columbia’s Conservatives. “The founder of the Eminata Group is a prominent Liberal donor and apparently has received government documents from a Liberal cabinet minister, what else has been communicated? Have any other documents been shared?”
“This is further proof that this government is run for the benefit of insiders, cronies and corporate donors. A new BC Conservative government would close the door on special interests and ban corporate and union donations.”
