35 Years of Service by the Wildwood Volunteer Fire Department

Earlier today - the communities of Wildwood, Deep Creek and Fox Mountain (backside) came together to celebrate 35 years of public service by the Wildwood Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) to provide fire protection & first responder services to these communities.  Wildwood VFD is one of 14 VFD's operated by the Cariboo Regional District

It was an open house for the community as well. During the plaque presentation, I thanked the Wildwood VFD for 35 years of faithful public service and looked forward to 35 more years of public service.  I want to thank members of Regional District Staff that came out on a weekend to celebrate with the community including the Managers of Communications/Protective Services, the Regional Fire Services Supervisor and our Community Liaison Coordinator.  It was also good to see the BC Liberals Cariboo-North candidate, Coralee Oakes as well...

As the Cariboo RD Area D Director - I was pleased with the turnout and thank you to the Wildwood VFD for putting on a great event and looking forward to the annual Appreciation Dinner for the Wildwood VFD next month...
