#CaribooRD Area D 2021 Community Survey Results

Since September 29th until this past Friday (Oct 16th) -- I surveyed the various unincorporated communities within Electoral Area 'D' of the Cariboo Regional District as to their priorities in their unincorporated community.  I'd like to thank the 50 people that took the time to fill out the quick 3 question survey and the responses provided confirm what people have told me on the ground already and some was new information and is further to my personal belief to building a "Culture of Engagement" within Electoral Area 'D' and having the mindset of "servant leadership" while serving as the Electoral Area "D" Director of the Cariboo Regional District

The questions posed were:

a) Which Unincorporated Community in Electoral Area "D" in the Cariboo Regional District do you reside in?

b) Is there an issue(s) that your unincorporated community wants the Area Director/Cariboo Regional District to work on in 2021

c) Any other questions/comments for your Area Director/Cariboo Regional District?

The top three unincorporated communities in #CaribooRD Area D to respond were:

a) Fox Mountain
b) Wildwood
c) Tyee Lake/McLeese Lake (tie)

The common themes across Electoral Area 'D' unincorporated communities were:

1) Theft/Community Safety
2) Local Rural Roads/Flood Mitigation
3) Connectivity -- Internet/Cell

Over the next number of days -- I will post in specific Unincorporated Communities in #CaribooRD Area D Facebook groups outlining the issues raised and the next steps I will take to work on them... although I have actioned some already and issues relating to roads within #Cariboo Area D are scheduled to be discussed at a meeting I have scheduled with MOTI Cariboo District Manager Todd Hubner on October 26th
