The City of Williams Lake is thrilled to be hosting its 42nd Annual Halloween Fireworks on October 31st at 7:45 pm at the Williams Lake Stampede Grounds.
Come enjoy a bonfire, hot chocolate and hot dogs by donation courtesy of the Williams Lake Lions Club and watch the show, which has been specially designed for the community’s enjoyment by the Williams Lake Fire Department.
In accordance with the current Provincial Health and Interior Health Orders, up to 100 spectators will be allowed at the bonfire area located behind the Williams Lake Stampede Grounds. To ensure compliance, those wishing to attend will be required to have a ticket, which will be available at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex front desk beginning Monday, October 18th at 8 a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis (maximum of five per family). Tickets will need to be displayed prior to entry at the main entrance of the Williams Lake Stampede Grounds.
To minimize any traffic issues along Mackenzie Avenue, those attending are asked to arrive after 7 pm.
The bonfire will be lit at 7:15 pm, with the fireworks show to follow at 7:45 pm.
Those not able to watch the show from the Stampede Grounds are encouraged to view the fireworks display from safe, publicly accessible areas around town, while being mindful of physical distancing.
The City of Williams Lake and staff at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex would like to thank Tolko for donating wood for the bonfire, as well as Williams Lake Community Policing, the Williams Lake Stampede Association and the Williams Lake Lions Club for their generous contributions to the annual festivities.
