Mandates regarding wearing masks and social distancing at City of Quesnel Public Meetings

Courtesy of the City of Quesnel:

The City of Quesnel is subject to Public Health Orders, including the mandates regarding wearing masks and social distancing. Provincial Health Orders state that masks are mandatory in all public indoor spaces for people ages 5 and up.

Anyone entering City Hall and any other City-owned facilities over the age of 5 is required to wear a mask and socially distance. Anyone who enters without a mask will be required to leave the premises.

Council and committee meetings will continue to be conducted as public meetings. Anyone attending a public meeting will be required to wear a mask and socially distance. The public attending the meetings are reminded that items that are not included on the council or committee agendas will not be discussed. All gallery questions must be an explicit question about a specific business item that is on the Council Agenda.  Also, any person or persons who intentionally disrupt public meetings will be removed from the meeting.  If required due to a disruption, the meeting will be recessed, and the public gallery cleared.
