School District No. 27 is pleased to announce the recent hiring of a new SecretaryTreasurer. Mr. Harinder Singh will be joining the District on March 1, 2022.
Mr. Singh is relocating from Northern Vancouver Island, where he was the Chief
Finance Officer of Town of Port McNeill, BC. His extensive experience in profit and nonprofit industry, and demonstrated leadership in budget development, financial planning,
policy development, and asset management make him an excellent candidate for this
role.
Mr. Singh holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a specialization in
finance and is an effective communicator experienced in governance oversight through
his work with the elected council in his current role.
Mr. Singh’s strong ability to interpret contracts and regulatory requirements to assess
their impact on operations will be valued in his role as Secretary-Treasurer which
provides direction and oversight in the administration of all contracts.
Mr. Singh will be joined by his wife and children after the school year ends.
The District looks forward to welcoming Mr. Singh into his new role
