BC's Information/Privacy Commisioner weighs in on social media and hiring practices

With most using either Facebook, Twitter or a blog  - Elizabeth Denham (BC's Information and Privacy Commissioner) has published guidelines for the public and private sectors when doing a "social media background check" on making a decision to hire an individual

As social media tools get even more popular - I can see how these guidelines will become standard practices for private/public sector employers' as they hire people
