Public invited to help set priorities in addressing social needs

From the City of Williams Lake:

The public is invited to the Social Planning Council’s Annual General Meeting on Monday, October 24th, which will also offer an opportunity for residents to offer their input and to help set priorities for addressing the social needs in our community.

The Social Planning Council is drawing on the input the City gathered from the community through the processes it used to create our Integrated Community Sustainability Plan: Imagine Our Future and our new Official Community Plan: Creating our Future.

“From that process, we have made some long term commitments, but we can’t do everything at once,” says Manager of Social Development Anne Burrill. “We need the public’s input to determine the activities that should be top priorities as we move forward in making this an even better community to live in.”

The Social Planning Council AGM is also an opportunity to hear about its activities and plans.
