In news that did not entirely surprise me -- Scott Nelson, former Mayor of Williams Lake, contacted me this afternoon to state that he is indeed running and only for the position of City Councillor
The key theme in his campaign will be Jobs and the Economy!!
Earlier today - he made his formal announcement with the local media and will be filing his nomination papers Friday with WL City Hall.
With Mr. Nelson's announcement - he will be the final candidate (12), in my humble opinion, for WL City Councillor who are seeking the 6 WL City Councillor seats. The others running for election or re-election as WL City Councillor are:
1) Sue Zacharias - incumbent
2) Ivan Bonnell - incumbent
3) Laurie Walters - incumbent
4) Sue Lachance
5) Peter Bowman
6) Bobbie-Jo Macnair
7) Marnie Brenner
8) Craig Smith
9) Jason Ryll
10) Tovi Pare
11) Wayne Lucier
