The City of Williams Lake received two new nomination packages today. The official candidate list is:
1) John Bjornstrom - Mayor
2) Walt Cobb - Mayor
1) Marnie Brenner - Councillor
2) Sue Lachance - Councillor
3) Wayne Lucier - Councillor
4) Bobbie-Jo Macnair - Councillor
5) Craig Smith - Councillor
6) Peter Bowman - Councillor
7) Jason Ryll - Councillor
The above 7 Councillor candidates comprise the entire publicly declared list of people running for the Office of City Councillor - City of Williams Lake. Only the 3 Incumbent City Councillors - Bonnell, Walters and Zacharias have yet to file their nomination papers
Meanwhile - Wells/100 Mile report no new nominations. Quesnel Councillor L-A Roodenburg reports on her Facebook profile that she has filed. So it is 6 for Quesnel Councillor and 1 for Quesnel Mayor as of this writing
Both local School Districts (SD28 in Quesnel and SD27 in Williams Lake/100 Mile) report no new nominations
Finally - only Electoral Areas E, I, J and K in the Cariboo RD have yet to table a nomination package
It seems everyone is waiting until the last moment to file so we should see increased activity between tomorrow to Friday...
