Yesterday - BC Premier Christy Clark announced the first Shqwi qwal (Speaker) for Indigenous Dialogue at Vancouver Island University, Shawn Atleo - the former Grand Chief of the Assembly of First Nations - more on the announcement here
As I noted to one person yesterday -- I hope that this initiative can lead to the type of dialogue that our society requires to move forward together on economic development initiatives in our region
