Quesnel Council meets Tuesday!

Quesnel City Council will meet next Tuesday (August 1st) while the remaining Cariboo-Chilcotin Local Governments (Wells, Williams Lake, 100 Mile House, Cariboo RD) as well as Boards' of Education for School Districts' #27 (Cariboo-Chilcotin) and #28 (Quesnel) remain on summer recess

1) Open Meeting - Tuesday, August 1st at 5:30pm in Quesnel Council Chambers (4th Floor, 410 Kinchant St).  On the Agenda:

* Delegation -- Quesnel Workforce Development Strategy - Eric Burton, President and CEO Factor 5 Group

* Quesnel Workforce Development Strategy Implementation

* Fortis Operating Agreement

* Housing Accelerator Grant

* BC Minister of Public Safety & Solicitor General - City of Surrey Policing from RCMP to Surrey Police Service and impacts on BC Local Governments using RCMP for local police services

2) Closed Meeting - Following adjournment of the Open Meeting of Quesnel City Council.  Meeting to be closed under the provisions of Sections 90(1e) and (2b) of the Community Charter covering:

* s.90(1)(e) - Acquisition, disposition or expropriation of land or improvements, if Council considers that disclosure might reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the City; and

* s.90(2)(b) – The consideration of information received and held in confidence relating to negotiations between the City and a provincial government or federal government or both, or between a provincial government or the federal government or both and a third party.
