1) Weather Update
Variable conditions continue for the next few days through the Fire Centre with patchy instability. Temperatures will rise by a few degrees today, then remain near seasonal averages. Drier conditions continue through southeastern areas, and parts of the Chilcotin. Light winds are expected with only occasional gustiness developing. There is a risk of thundershowers today from southwestern to northeastern areas, with the isolated activity developing tomorrow through the southwestern areas of the Fire Centre expected to linger into the evening hours.
2) General Update from Cariboo Fire Centre
As of July 14, 2023 the four fires that comprised the Gillies Complex are being managed by a dedicated Incident Management Team (IMT). As of July 14, 2023 the 10 wildfires that comprised the Kappan Complex are being managed by a dedicated Incident Management Team (IMT).
3) Active Wildfires Report, by Zone
a) Central Cariboo Zone (Williams Lake/Cariboo RD Areas D,E,F)
There are 10 active fires in the Central Cariboo Zone. Of these fires, five are Out of Control, three are Being Held and two are Under Control. Fires C31143, C32266, C31349, C31442 and C31684, located in the Horsefly Lake-Quesnel Lake area, are classified as Out of Control and are being handled with a modified response.
b) Quesnel Zone (Quesnel/Wells; Cariboo RD Areas A,B,C,I)
There are 16 active fires in the Quesnel Zone. Of these fires, eight are Out of Control, three are Being Held, and five are Under Control.
C12135 - Burgess Creek (south of Alexandria, Cariboo RD Area “A”)
Operational Objectives
This fire is highly visible to surrounding communities and commuters on highway 97. It has shown no significant growth, and there is no threat to structures. Cooler temperatures and rain have decreased fire behaviour with crews continuing to action the fire.

There are currently seven active fires within the Chilcotin Zone. Of these fires, four are Out of Control, one is Being Held, and two are Under Control.
C51974 - Bull Canyon Park
Operational Objectives
On Tuesday, the fire received rain and displayed minimal fire activity and saw no growth overnight.
Crews have started mop up, focusing on the Southeast and East corner. The fire is not impacting or threatening structures or roads, and Highway 20 is not at risk of closing or obstruction from fire activities.
The CRD Evacuation Alert has been lifted for the Bull Canyon Park Area.

Ground crews are on site continuing to action the fire. The west side of Nazko road has been secured, and machine guard on the East side is completed. The fire is exhibiting moderate fire behaviour.
