Community asked to name a "Difference Maker"

Joint Release from the City of Williams Lake & Cariboo Regional District:

Do you know a difference maker, an individual who is a shining example of an ordinary person with an extraordinary story of determination, excellence and teamwork; someone you feel has helped make Williams Lake and the Central Cariboo a better place to live?

If so, you are encouraged to nominate that individual to complete the final leg of the Rick Hansen Man in Motion 25th Anniversary Relay when it visits Williams Lake on March 25, 2012. The individual will have the honour of carrying the Rick Hansen medal onto the stage during the End of Day Celebration held at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex.

Nomination forms can be picked up at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex or City Hall and must be returned by Oct. 31, 2011. Nominations will be reviewed by the Community Organizing Committee and three worthy individuals will be recommended for consideration by the Rick Hansen Foundation, which will make the final selection.
