Early Civic Election Discussion in PG

In an unusual move (but in a good way to raise awareness of the upcoming local government elections) - CKPG (local Prince George TV Station) ran a story yesterday on two likely topics to be raised during the civic election in the City of Prince George this fall:

a) Road Maintenance
b) Snow Removal

View the video below:

While we're still roughly 8 months before voters' in the roughly 200 local governments in the Province elect Municipal Councils', Regional District Directors and School Trustees - voters' minds are not yet on these issues and typically aren't until at least September or October in the year of a local election

Finally - I wonder if CKPG plans to run more of these "civic election stories" - if so, it would be a good way to get people thinking about the election this November and to start that 'community conversation' that always occurs at the end of a local government term - what has gone well, what hasn't and should your locally elected official (Mayor, Councillor, Regional District Director or School Trustee) be re-elected for the work they've done on your behalf?
