The City of Quesnel Utilities Department will run its annual fire hydrant and water main flushing program starting on Monday, September 21, 2020 for approximately three weeks. This will occur from 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
| September 21, 22, 23 | Johnston and Carson Subdivisions |
| September 24 and 25 | South Quesnel |
| September 28 and 29 | Two and Three Mile Flat |
| September 30, October 1 and 2 | West Quesnel west of Baker Creek and Uplands |
| October 5 and 6 | West Quesnel east of Baker Creek |
| October 7, 8 and 9 | Downtown and North Quesnel |
Hydrant and water main flushing causes turbidity in the City’s water system. Residents should expect, and be prepared for, discoloured water. If you experience this, leave a cold water tap running until the water returns to normal.
