Cariboo-North MLA to host meeting on Provincial Meat Regulations

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING – PROVINCIAL MEAT INSPECTION REGULATIONS

Bob Simpson, MLA for Cariboo North will hold a public meeting, Tuesday, June 21 2011, 7-9pm at the Quesnel Seniors’ Centre. This public meeting is an opportunity for local meat producers and members of the agricultural community to be updated on the current status of the provincial meat inspection, licensing and animal waste disposal regulations.

This will be an opportunity for producers to ask questions about the licensing requirements for their particular operation and will be the first in a series of meetings designed to create a regional plan for red meat slaughter and processing in the Quesnel area.
