Very recently - the Quesnel Community & Economic Development Corporation set up a blog here with a website as well here
Meanwhile - their counterpart in Williams Lake (which our Economic Development Corporation was modelled after Quesnel's in 2004) has no blog, no social media tools (YouTube, Facebook or Twitter) and no website (used to have link on the City of WL's website but is no longer there) and from what some have told me - the local Economic Development Corporation is sitting "in neutral" pending the Community Forest application being approved
Perhaps the time has come for the next WL City Council to dissolve the Central Cariboo Economic Development Corporation and for WL City Council to take a direct role in Economic Development or even have a frank discussion on Economic Development with local business leaders and the greater Williams Lake Community which would include the CRD Directors' for Electoral Areas D, E, F,J and K and First Nations Leaders
