The Governance Department of the Ministry of Community, Sport and Culture Development has published its' list of people who can not run in the fall's civic election.
In our region, the following persons are prohibited in seeking election until the 2014 Civic General Election:
1) Gino DeRose - City of Quesnel
2) Caren Folsten - School District #27
3) Debra Ostrander - School District #27 (pls note - Ms. Ostrander is former Zone 2 SD#27 Trustee)
4) Chuck Pearson - City of Williams Lake (pls note - Mr. Pearson ran in the City of WL's 2008 Election)
5) Paul Scott - School District #27
You can see the complete list here where 57 people, out of thousands who offer themselves in civic elections in BC this year, are disqualified to offer themselves up for the 2011 election
